ECPGA Championship

The ECPGA Championship is an annual two-day, 36-hole stroke-play tournament built on competition, trash talk, miraculous shots, devastating blowups, and the kind of pressure that only exists when absolutely nothing important is on the line except pride. Every year, the same three guys meet at a new course to settle the score, and every year, the psychological warfare gets a little more sophisticated.

The winner earns more than just the championship title. Along with a full year of bragging rights comes possession of the legendary ugly jacket, which each champion is expected to add to over time for reasons nobody fully understands anymore. The champion also chooses where next year's tournament will be played and hosts the annual Champions Dinner, where the stories grow dramatically less accurate with each passing season.

Joe Pap is the reigning champion after winning his third title in a row, which means the jacket has spent a suspicious amount of time in one closet. He's now deciding where the 2027 tournament will be played, and the location will be announced on February 14, 2027 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific.
